Sand Ripples with a Touch of Icing
The ripples in the sand are created by the wind blowing individual grains. It takes a wind of at least 13mph to move a typical grain of sand. The distance between the ripples is equal to the average distance that the wind blows a grain of sand. A very strong wind will not leave ripples.
