Denver Images - DIA Moonrise
The full moon is shining through the light clouds, rising behind Denver International Airport. The clouds in front of the moon make it appear more like a large planet. As with most moon photos, it is the foreground that makes the difference between an astronomical sighting and an artistic composition.
The tent-like roof for the terminal at DIA is made of a Teflon-coated fiberglass material with a thickness of about 0.03" (0.76mm).
